Thank you for choosing InstaFlow Controller. Your privacy is our highest priority, and we are committed to being completely transparent about our practices.

This Privacy Policy applies to the InstaFlow Controller browser extension (“Extension”) and explains how your information is handled when you use it.

1. Information Collection and Use

We do not collect, store, transmit, or share any of your personal data.

InstaFlow Controller is designed with privacy at its core. The Extension operates entirely on your local machine (within your browser) and does not require an account, a server, or any cloud connectivity to function.

• No Personal Data: We do not collect your name, email address, IP address, browsing history, or any personal identifiers.
• No Instagram Account Data: We do not access, read, log, or steal your Instagram passwords, messages, feed, interactions, or any profile information.
• No Analytics or Tracking: We do not use third-party analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) or trackers to monitor how you use the Extension.

2. Local Storage

To provide a seamless experience, the Extension remembers your personalized settings (such as your preferred app language, custom font choices, volume settings, and keyboard shortcuts).

• These preferences are saved strictly using the browser’s native local/sync storage API (chrome.storage).
• This data never leaves your device and is never transmitted to us or any third-party servers.
• You can clear these settings at any time by uninstalling the Extension or clearing your browser’s extension data.

3. Permissions

The Extension requests the minimum necessary permissions to function properly:

• storage: Required to save your personalized settings (like fonts, language, and shortcuts) locally on your device.
• clipboardWrite: Required solely for the “Screenshot” feature, allowing the Extension to copy the captured image of a video directly to your clipboard when you click the screenshot button.

The Extension only runs its scripts exclusively on https://www.instagram.com/* to modify the UI and media controls as intended. It does not monitor or inject code into any other websites you visit.

4. Third-Party Services

The Extension may load fonts from Google Fonts (e.g., fonts.googleapis.com) if you select a custom font within the Extension settings. This is a standard web practice, and Google’s own privacy policies govern the loading of these assets. We do not share any data with them.

5. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make any material changes, we will notify you by updating the “Effective Date” at the top of this policy and, if required, highlighting the changes in the Extension’s release notes.
